Band
The band program at Jackson County Middle School includes opportunities for students grades 5-8. The program is designed to teach students who have no experience playing any musical instrument to read music, interpret musical notation, and perform on a musical instrument. Numerous performance opportunities exist like playing in "pep" band for pep rallies and football games, playing in jazz band for concerts and assemblies, and playing in concert bands. Additionally, exceptional middle schools students may be invited to perform with the award-winning JCHS Band in Blue both in marching and concert performance situations.
